Psychlopedia – Term: Fullon

Great stuff if you’ve not bought much trance this year, or if you never buy a lot. All these tunes have been released elsewhere, an idea which in itself is either going to be a blessing or a curse. Luckily Psymag’s Homsy has picked a pretty good selection that sort of looks like the best tracks off a lot of other albums from this year. Man With No Name’s Critical Mass is present and correct, and Mr Peculiar’s heavy-roller Crystal Energy sounds better here than on the original album. Talamasca vs Polaris’ Fantastic Plausibility was a new one to me and rinses, as does Misted Muppet’s Snarling Zraw. With other rostered names including Sesto Sento, Dynamo, Oforia and Triptych you cant really think of a much more comprehensive Greatest Hits Of Trance CD  – so the value for money factor alone makes this significant. Yeah, they’re all available elsewhere but that’s kinda the point. If you go to a lot of parties but buy bugger all music, then I think this is what you’re looking for. Otherwise, you can always buy it for your sister.
