Never forget, kids, what a truly global scene this is. You can party all over the globe and hear music from all over the globe. The people are all f*ing wicked, the women gorgeous, the blokes trustworthy (if you laughed milk out your nose at that, you're probably a promoter) and... Oh yeah, the review. Right. Well, this is a truly global release, coordinated by Christian Barr in the UK and Steve Barr in Australia. Neuromotor opens up with Fist Operator, stirring into action and getting a little bit messy.. then easing up. Classy, clever stuff, raising the temperature without lifting the roof off. Mr Peculiar's Planetary Exodus is a much cleaner, spacious groove th an he often produces; anyway, the melbourne mentalist's mysteriously massive musical manipulation made monkeyisland memorable, and here we have oldskool goa noises rubbing shoulders

ith utterly effortless psychedelic dynamism. Respeck. Mino's up next, Shifted being a melodic groove-based number that holds the attention, and Psychoactive Vs Legohead's 145BPM is a

double-dipped belter: think peaktime 3D Vision stuff with more funk. Yeaaah. Illusion Of Self's Hix isn't his best effort, but with a Bill Hicks sample, a nice groove, and a sproingy midsection run it does the job nicely. R.A.M takes it darker with Midnight Snacks, lots of changes on the way up followed by a cheeky break, and then slam, back again except harder evil laugh. Mr Peculiar comes back with The Fatty, a nice sample plus churned swirling melodies, and it all utterly explodes into a McFlurry of ickle reality enhancing doohickies. Legohead's Snoozebutton rolls and folds nicely, and finally Safi Connection's Eve closes the album in solid Safi style,

lacking some of the sparkle of the other tunes on here but still decent in its own right. Some neat bits on this album then, and shows that it IS (shock) possible to have a fullon compilation that doesn't collapse into cliche and derivativeness. Psyreviews predicts great things from this
