Aphid Moon Reactor / Disco Biscuit Dragonfly (UK)

Two of my favourite Aphid Moon cuts on a twelve inch, eh... mighty nice stuff and good to see that vinyl junkies aren’t being entirely sidelined by the dominance-chasing CDJ fraternity. Reactor is pure dirty organic mulchtech (TM), building up to a huuuge breakdown, the aftermath of which is one of those throwdown moments that has you grinning in the sheer delight that out of all the possible styles of music you got into, you chose this one, the right one, and then you realise you’ve just flung your car keys and ciggies halfway across the floor, but they can wait till this tune finishes. Disco Biscuit is altogether more chummy by comparison, a rolled arpeggio bassline off of I Feel Love (hence the title), gradually picking up into a swirly go-for-it psychedelic anthem. Sheer class, and if you thought London had lost its groove then look again pal.
