Various Pneumatic Angles Trancelucent (Israel)
All sorts of trance here form Israel on Tracelucent's second compilation, and it's a cracking bag of tunes. Each of the artists give us two tunes arranged symmetrically to give the whole thing a nice flow. Cosmic Tone open with a deep progressive thumper which has a fairly dark feel, and close with a more upbeat and more psychedelic tune - still fairly minimal but with screams and spooky voices thrown in to the mix foretelling your execution, maybe at the hands of the bass line?!? Perplex raise the pace with their first tune as melodies make their debut appearance, a never cheesy and always subtle accompaniment. Intergalactic guest on their second tune and you can tell right off where they've been fiddling - really upfront driving bass underlies the fairly progressive arrangement of the rest of the tune. The Misted Muppet give us the last two - hard, twisted, acidic and very, very good. There's an album due soon from these guys and i for one can't wait...Toxic Neuron has an attacking bass and crunching percussion to match, and Extremely Witched twists soaring synth lines in a way reminiscent of Infected's Mushi Mushi. Top Quality!
