Syp vs Spy / Emok & Elhad Splitting Carnival EP Riff Raff (Sweden)

Spy Vs. Spy’s Fogo Eachao (Empk, Lopis plus Brazil Bob, who we guess is from Braxil) is a smooth tribal number, sitting wickedly in the mix and centered on a tight-looped groove. The vibe is tight and positive, it progresses well and it’s suitable for a good range of dancefloors. Nice. Emok & Alhad’s Fruity Loops is, well fruity – the groove is more wavey and psychedelic, and they give a new meaning to the word (growly). It stands firmly rooted in its prog scando roots to the end, and the psychedelic roar subsides like it was never there at all. Double nice.
