Whatever, you can't question their influence on the scene - that wonderful growly sound, those over-used Matrix samples, their relentlessly thorough bleeding of the 303, and their delightfully silly, down n' dirty style. Sought-after Tip fodder like 1.3 Crumbs and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep will satisfy those who missed or lost them first time round, and Velociraptor, which on first release I hated with a vengeance, just gets better with every play. On A Mission From God blows up like a proper bitch, Jaws eats a 303 for breakfast, and Medieval Times is an utter psychedelic pshindig. With a rumoured record-breaking four albums from GMS slated for release this year, The Hitz may prove to be a less than essential purchase. However if you happened to miss these first time around, or if like me you;re happy to admit that their derivative style is bread and butter for the soul that makes you grin like an idiot, then it's well worth a sniff. -Damion-
