A Lot Of Radio / Chi - Flying Rhino

Britain’s Aphid Moon has been steadily making a name for himself lately, and this 12” release on Rhino is damn near essential. A Lot Of Radio is hypnotic and pacy, with a rising and building high-end psycho type noise that’s quite intense, and you can’t help but be sucked in by it. The breakdown is a delightfully smooth vacuum that crashes into a bass-heavy pounder, with a gorgeous and cheeky high-end choral synth hook that stabs in and out of existence. This is ballsy, ballsy stuff and comes with a guarantee that it’ll blow the roof off. Chi on the flip is a more reflective, laidback tune awash with sweet pads and loveable harmonies. It has a kind of an aftermath / comedown feel to it which really sounds like it’s a tune of significance. It sets you gently down feeling refreshed and energised, and as such it’s perfect or those faded morning moments. Class. 9/10
