Invisible Cities - Dragonfly

Two on offer here, the original mix plus Tristan’s remix, as featured on Dragonfly’s recent A Better Live Through Chemistry compilation. The original version is smooth tecchy stuff that builds nicely and sits perfectly in the mix. Ideal for that moment when you can’t think what to play! It’s not too intense and has plenty going on in it to keep everybody happy. It’s got a kind of paranoid edge, not dark but just has something that makes you want to keep glancing over your shoulder to see who’s watching you. The Tristan remix has a darker, tecchier vibe, and fits with Tristan’s style of a kind of fearful vision of the future. Building into a desolate yet irresistible breakdown, the increased growl factor makes this the psychedelic choice. 7/10
