Bass Porridge sees Chris Organic team up with veteran psy DJ Stella Nutella, creating a good solid piece of crossover psychedelic-progressive trance. A smooth, hardfloor-like rhythm section with a very smooth bassline gets the feeling right, creating a pleasant and linear vibe with a nod to the future. Sweet pads and playful high-end whirls add to the equation until a smooth and lazy acid line joins the party, with enough delay and roll to make anybody smile. Vicious Rumours was featured on the Free Your Funky Chickens compilation and from the opening effortlessly glides with precision-perfect drums. This one has a timeless, wonderful vibe and escalates into a sweet morning-friendly arms-in-the-air classic. Organic Records is doing something brave and different, while creating its own unique sound into the bargain. 7/10
