Single Cell / Palladium - Transient

Manmademan have a wonderful knack of totally igniting a dancefloor while never retracing old steps and managing to sound new every time. Opening track from the forthcoming album "Cell Division", Single Cell is a chuggy and slightly scarey tune, making full use of hauntingly atmospheric stabs and dark drones over a simple rhythm section and rolling bassline. Palladium is a linear percussive number with shifting rhythms and an even darker vibe. It shifts and it stomps, but its unlikely to raise many a dancefloor temperature. (6/10)
