Damnation Generation - Boom! Records

With multiple new directions being explored by artists under the vast psychedelic trance banner, it's often nice to hear an album that hasn't drifted far from the original thoughts behind Goa trance. Ramon Sternman's second album appears as a continuation and certainly an improvement on his 1998 offering. However the music on this release still does little to satisfy. With so many other artists exploring new ideas, Cosmoon fails to really show us anything other than a few melodic trance numbers. Considering how fresh his Twisted Traveller work was when it was first heard, this album is a little disappointing. A few of the later tracks like "Psygothic Personalities" and "Go Deeper" manage to bring the album some value, but not enough to really please. One of Boom's weaker releases.
