Various Artists Ischgl Tirol Natraj Temple (Germany)

Natraj Temple, long having established a reputation as having one of the best clubs in Germany, now join the ranks of the labels. This release highlights the diversity of the German club, presenting us with a smorgasbord of tunes. Highlights are "Epidemic", a thumping acidic tune from vetrans Eat Static, and "Szisziv Dizajner", from Kino Oko, which is an awesome hard rocking night tune with an excellent psyschedelic edge to it. The only real disappoint me for was Dogma 3000's "Superman", a fairly poor tribal track with does little for me. Rounding off the otherwise dark compilation is a very happy morning track from Deedrah, with a little bit of the Ibiza sound that has obviously influenced the frenchman, but keeping firmly within the bounds of the psychedelic. Shaman Unbrutal / Supha Dupha / Pitch Tweaker (Digital Structures) New(ish) Digital Structures signing Shaman has carved himself a neat little niche with his unique future-ice trance style. Unbrutal is a loud outdoor-friendly number that gently pulls and twists sounds around a steady bassline. Supha Dupha is a well-paced minimal/percussive tune that builds up sweetly and mixes well. Pitch Tweaker takes the same principles of steady bass and smooth percussion and adds offcentre high-end pads to create a spacey, driving balance between the sounds. Like it.
