Paste make very trippy, very scary, relentless trance that’s out to get you and just doesn’t care. Noerg is an alienating, harsh tune with a caustic bassline and industrial-tinged stabs. The effect is unnerving, very real, very unique. Progress is even more psychotic, it seems like it just wants to mash you up and leave you a squirming, insect-ridden reflection of your former self. At times it sounds a little imbalanced, but you can’t fault its effect. Devastating stuff, Boshke Neats’ first release will scare and delight in equal measures. (6/10) DB
