Aztechno Dream – Tip World

Step forward Alien Project for a storming single. Aztechno Dream, title track from the forthcoming album, is a full-on hurricane assault on the dancefloor. Firmly rooted in the outdoor international vibe implicit in the name, it’s an epic trancer with tribal tinges and trademark Alien Project ballsiness. Bustling percussion over an endorphin-inducing bassline, with semi-eerie top lines leading up to the break. At which point, it disappears inside itself in a remarkable array of filters and pans, after which it sits perfectly with plenty of twist and stomp factor aplenty.

Six minutes in, an extended break complete with spacey samples takes over, before it comes rocking in for a riotous last section that will have the outdoor party monsters kicking up clouds of dust like it was going out of style.

Dancefloors will remained thrilled for the flip, an Alien Project rework of Astral Projection’s People Can Fly, taking all the classic elements of the six-year-old Israeli staple and adding plenty of 21st Century funk. Starting out a lot like the original, there’s a nice crowd-friendly drop where everything slows to a stop before good old Ari whips things up into a nicely stomping peak hour meltdown.

Psy-friendly crossover jock John 00 Flemming turns in a bonus edit of People Can Fly, turning down the Alien Project twist and giving more club-friendly progression throughout the track.

A storming single, setting the way for one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year. You’ll be hearing these all summer.
